Turning

General Turning

Carboloy has a comprehensive range of inserts and toolholders. Due to the combination of a new coating technique, an appropriate substrate and an optimized edge form, the inserts have unique versatility. Three chipbreakers (MF2, M3 and M5) and three carbide grades (TP100, TP200 and TP300) cover at least 75% of all general turning operations.

PCBN for Turning

Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride (PCBN) is a material made of cubic boron nitride, which is sintered at extremely high pressure and high temperature, to produce a wear-resistant material with properties approaching those of diamond. Carboloy PCBN inserts (Secomax) have excellent edge strength and a long wear life, making them suitable for machining hard ferrous materials.

Threading

The Carboloy Snap Tap threading system has become an acknowledged standard around the world. The range comprises more than 1500 combinations of profiles and carbide grades, to suit the vast majority of threading operations. The CP50 universal grade offers trouble-free machining, and the combination of toughness and high wear resistance guarantees exceptional resultsin the most common materials.

Grooving and Cut-Off
